The annoying thing about proxies

The annoying thing about proxies is that idiots who like to spam and get themselves banned use them, then when they get banned they just use another proxy. In the mean time, people using the proxied IP end up getting banned instead. So people are free to spam and post crap, with the added bonus of getting other people banned.

On the upside, despite having been banned due to the above, I can always just proxy and use the boards anyway :/ Makes you wonder what the point of using the ban button is.

Customers come and go, so do companies. In a world of NAT, WiFi leeching, and an increasingly cramped, finite number of available IPV4 addresses, I cannot see anything wrong with this plan in terms of logistics. Not to mention the total loss of privacy online.
