The point is not so much the content of the images, but the extent to which anyone mentioning the whole drama were banned, mislead, otherwise attacked by Fred, and Cortana (admin on both MT forums and 4chan). Fred posted these in 1998/1999, got popular via MT comic, took them down, people asked questions and were lied to misled, banned, and even ejected from cons, for asking questions about this, and generally denies that any of it ever happened. Cortana and other mods pretend to be the creators of the images to confuse/mislead. So some /b/ are starting a sort of online campaign to protest this and bring about greater awareness.

I think the situation has been kind of "misconstrued" by 4channers. I post on Megatokyo Forums, and the mods generally say things like: "Yeah, Fred made some porn. Who fucking cares?"
