I do not understand. They claim japanese-language voiceovers are superior.
But how can they know this if they don't even speak japanese, and aren't familiar with the language? The japanese voiceovers are probably just as shitty anyway.

Can't you enjoy how the human voice sounds without needing to understand it? As in music? Well, I like how the Japanese language sounds (their accents) and how expressive the voices are compared to 99% of dubs. I'd rather hear a guy shouting "@#\&+!!!" like the world's gonna end and a subtitle that reads "Goddammit you dumb motherfucker!" than an American "Oh. I am kind of disgusted." unemotional dub that ruins the scene.

Also, there are some words or phrases I can identify from spoken Japanese that deal with politeness levels, social status or relationships that cannot be translated into my native language. These are lost in dubs, while I can recognize them and have a richer experience and deeper understanding in subs.

I just like the sound of a high-pitched voice saying onii~chan.
There is nothing more boneriffic than that and you can't deny it
