I never said I wasn't working. I've earned more money than he has. It'd be pathetic if I had to rely on a guy to buy me stuff, and I abhor all women who shamelessly exploit men in that way.
It's much harder for a couple or family to support themselves on a single income these days, so in order to increase your chances of staying in the black, it's way easier if both partners work. That's why a man who isn't in education, employment, or training isn't terribly attractive as a mate.

Having both partners work does sorta hurt the relationship. If one person works and the other person is gone, they won't be able to spend much time together and a relationship that is not maintained will collapse.
The fact is that girls just want everything. If they had to choose between A or B, they rather say "I want both."
Take for example girls nowadays. They want all the perks that come with a relationship yet they still want the right to still flirt/play around with other guys. Committment to them is something they don't want to give but expect the guy to give.

People, people, we all know the answers to this already. Just take a sample of data from women (especially in western cultures where most of us live). You'll see that the majority of women choose men who:
-"Swept them off their feet" rather than built up a solid relationship
-Had either money, job or nice car or all three
-Treated them poorly
-Never said "I love you" unless he did not mean it
-Gave her gifts instead of real kindness and affection
-Expressed "affection" only to get sex from her, but the woman didn't care anymore by that point
-Told her that she was beautiful and sexy, and told her that these things are not shallow
-Lied to her many times and didn't really care if he did so. Any apologies were usually insincere.
-Told her how to think and feel, ex: "You want me," "You love me
-Made promises that sounded good, but never had intentions to keep them
-Had decent looks
-Had many dumped girlfriends or failed relationships before
-Are disinterested in anything she says or does
-Makes her do as he says all the time, while saying things like "You will if you love me"
Among other things. However, you'll also go on to note that women very rarely chose men who are:
-Considerate of her feelings and who put HER needs and wants ahead of his own
-Not confident/boastful
-Currently poor
-Expressed any liking of her, except in a sexual way, IE flirting
-Dedicated to her, instead of making big promises and lies
-Honest and faithful, time and time again
-Chivalrous
Clearly, history shows what women choose. They don't have to settle, since they are in much higher demand than men, nor do they have to choose these sorts of partners, but it's been proven over and over, billions of times that they do.
