World4ch is dying.

Yet another crippling bombshell hit the beleaguered world4ch community when recently leaked web stats confirmed that world4ch accounts for less than a fraction of 1 percent of all anonymous messageboard users. Coming on the heels of the latest Alexa survey which plainly states that world4ch has lost more market share, this news serves to reinforce what we've known all along. world4ch is collapsing in complete disarray, as fittingly exemplified by failing dead last in the recent posts per day test.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to predict world4ch's future. The hand writing is on the wall: world4ch faces a bleak future. In fact there won't be any future at all for world4ch because world4ch is dying. Things are looking very bad for world4ch. As many of us are already aware, world4ch continues to lose market share. Red ink flows like a river of blood. SJIS is the most endangered of them all, having lost 93% of its core userbase.

Let's keep to the facts and look at the numbers.

world4ch leader moot states that there are 70 users of General. How many users of SJIS are there? Let's see. The number of General versus SJIS posts is roughly in ratio of 5 to 1. Therefore there are about 70/5 = 14 SJIS users. Movies posts are about half of the volume of SJIS posts. Therefore there are about 7 users of Movies. A recent article put VIP at about 80 percent of world4ch. Therefore there are (7000+1400+700)*4 = 364 VIP users. This is consistent with the number of VIP posts.

All major surveys show that world4ch has steadily declined in market share. world4ch is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim. If world4ch is to survive at all it will be among dead board dabblers. world4ch continues to decay. Nothing short of a miracle could save it at this point in time. For all practical purposes, world4ch is dead.

If the SJIS section's font weren't so damn ugly, it'd probably get more traffic than it does now.

SJIS art can't be done in other fonts. You could get MS PGothic and remove Mona, I guess.
