Space Warfare?

So you hear about spy satelittes being up in space. US spy satts above Chinese airspace and vice versa. Since no one had jurisdiction over space, what stops China have blowing up US spy sats and vice versa?

sure their is, you could possition several powerful ion cannon satelites just like on Gundam, at the various langrange points, and aim them straight at the enemy countrys, thus preventing them from doing anything to you, since they couldnt reach it when possitioned, thus giving you a clear advantage if you were hoping say to send a few colonys, or spacecraft up
