Giving anime a try

So all anime fanboys I know are faggots. And up to now I hated anime. And Dragon Ball Z sucks. But I thought to myself, if so many /b/tards like that stuff, there has to be something to it.

I want to give it a try. What should a noob watch?

Preferably something with few or no tentacle rape.

Dragon Ball Z:FAIL
Naruto:FAIL
Dubbed anime:FAIL

Cartoon made in Japan isn't animu.
Animation done in manga style is animu(It no need to be made in Japan).

i.e. Spirited Away isn't anime. Just japanese cartoon.
