Giving anime a try

So all anime fanboys I know are faggots. And up to now I hated anime. And Dragon Ball Z sucks. But I thought to myself, if so many /b/tards like that stuff, there has to be something to it.

I want to give it a try. What should a noob watch?

Preferably something with few or no tentacle rape.

is Peacemaker Kurogane any good? I saw a preivew and I was like 'well maybe this would be appealing enough!1'

Chobits is a definite anime-hater-changer. And if its a girl anime-hater, immediately recommend Chobits along with Fruit Basket.

As for guys, Bleach may do the trick. Though I haven't tried it yet.
