I wrote a letter to a succesful stock trader who was interested in the same genre of philosophy as me ('rational' metaphysics, logic and science). I told him that long story short I was wonderring what to do with my talent because I hadn't really thought it through and I sent him a sample of one of the essays I was writing on my hypothesis of the perfect mind. He replied and asked for more... Over the internet I discussed matters with several of his other colleagues who were impressed with what I had to say, but I withheld a lot out of fear of plagiarism. He gave me instructions to meet with a local institution leader who said he wanted to discuss publishing a book and giving me the copyright. Instead he gave me a tour of the history of his institution and offerred to pay for a scholarship at a prestigious university you may have heard of. Turns out quite a lot of authority figures in the developped world have been approached by this group.
