+ Northernmost of contiguous United State
+ We're all so nice and non confrontational
+ Above-average quality of life compared with other states, making MN one of the better places on earth to live (Usually beaten in various categories only by most of New England, Colorado, and three or four other states)
+ It's not Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, or either of the Dakotas
+ The twin cities are a vibrant urban area-within reason
+ we recognize the objective truth- it's not "duck, duck, goose"- it's "duck-duck-grey duck"
+ unlike a lot of America, we actually have SEASONS
+/-?  We gave the world Prince, Lindbergh, Terry Gilliam, Bob Dylan and the Coen Brothers
- It's dangerously close to Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and both of the Dakotas
- we all got drunk one election night and put Jesse Ventura in office
- the local food is unremarkable
- Duluth lynchings
- when we DO have summer, it's much more humid than other places
- Shows no signs of seceding to Canada, for weed and gay marriage-also would show solidarity between boring, nice, intellectual Canadians and boring, nice, intellectual Minnesotans
