WinNY Problems

Okay, I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, but whatever, there seems to be some pretty random stuff here anyways. I know quite a few people here are using WinNY, and I need some help. I've downloaded all of the unicode crap so I see a black screen instead of a grey screen, but when I search I get no results. I have no idea which options to change.
