Peter Roach - Phonetics

has anyone here read Peter Roach's Phonetics (Oxford) and Peter Roach's English Phonetics & Phonology (Cambridge)?

I'm supposed to have an oral exam in the former, but I've only read the latter and I haven't figured it out up until a few moments ago.

How fucked am I?

I can't get Oxford one anywhere, and I'm planning on winging it...is it possible?

I've read neither. I have, however, familiarized myself with situations wherein an individual can be fucked. You're probably in one.

I'd recommend pimping google or amazon for a .pdf or downloadable copy.

I already read the Cambridge one. I need the Oxford one to see if they cover the same grounds since I'm supposed to have an oral on the Oxford one, and all I've read is the Cambridge one.

Best advice:

Stop freaking out. Grow a dick. Explain you've made a potentially fatal error going into ( or preferably before) the exam. Politely request that, if any glaring discrepancy exists between the Cambridge and Oxford editions, you would prefer to take the test at a later date, have the topics covered oriented towards the edition you read, or any other number of feasible contingencies that you can get your professor to agree to. Be polite, professional, agreeable, and  affable. If he's obstinate (as I would be if you were so stupid as to ignore what edition of textbook you'd need for my coarse), collect what little self-respect you have left and bite the bullet. You'd be getting a better education that you'll ever pay for.
