Languages you've quit studying

For me it's Japanese.

Studying it was fun and there are a lot of memories involved that are, should I say, even 懐かしい. However, when I got to an intermediate stage, I had just about had enough. Being associated with animutards wasn't very tempting (to begin with) and the overall uselessness of the language (at least where I live) were some of the biggest contributing factors in the decision to quit.

As luck would have it, lately I've noticed that Japanese has become somewhat easier for me to understand and produce in speech. I'm not studying it actively, but now that it's been a while since I've had anything to do with the language, paradoxically I seem to "get" it more than ever before, which has led me to think about continuing my studies. That, on the other hand, is unwelcome since I'm already studying another language actively.

Frustrating.

私日本語二年前勉強を始めました
But recently been lacking the energy to learn kanji's.
Spent last summer in Japan. Totally epic.
But it's hard to keep studying a language that only a hand full of other people in your country speak.
