Book recommendations

Hi /lang/, Can you recommend some books(novels) for a person who is learning/studying the english language?

The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night-time is a pretty easy and good read which I have read for English class too. It's short and interesting.

I am personally reading Heart of Darkness which is also short but much harder to read. I'd recommend that when you reach a higher level.
