In Portland Oregon, Costello's travel cafe hosts French, German, Italian and other language evenings once a month. Often a bunch of old expats trying to re-live their European youth. Kind of pathetic but good for conversation practice because they are fluent in your target language. Also occasional hotties and other students, but don't bank on it.
