Bad reasons to learn languages

Japanese: "I like anime and jrpgs!"
Chinese: "China is going to be a superpower!"
Dutch/Swedish: "Their society is so progressive!"

btw it's one of the main reasons for learning english. lots of people learn it for playing untranslated games, reading english literature etc and then use it for more practical reasons as well
