What is the best, free way to learn German? I'm 13 right now and wanting to learn it, but all I know is a couple of greetings.

Yup learning German sounds like a good plan. Japan imported a lot of loanwords from German so if you speak fluent German, you will have no problem talking to most Japanese people also.
