Icelandic

So i herd you enforce the no-loanwords policy in Icelandic, remove everything foreign, etc.
Does anyone really follow it in colloquial speech?
Or, by far, does anyone really use Icelandic in everyday life?

they do use Latin script. and they could at least attempt to pronounce foreign words correctly instead of transliterating them. nothing worse than fucked up katakana words that make no sense to neither japanese nor english speakers.
