Icelandic

So i herd you enforce the no-loanwords policy in Icelandic, remove everything foreign, etc.
Does anyone really follow it in colloquial speech?
Or, by far, does anyone really use Icelandic in everyday life?

I don't think they enforce a no-loan-word-policy, they just make words that can be used instead of loanwords. The words are also pretty cool, because they got proffesionals called "wordsmiths" making them.

I know they do have some loanwords, they just adapt them to their writing system. I learned that in school, so it must be true!
