漢子

I find it really interesting what the 漢子 is when transliterated into separate languages/dialects

Mandarin 學(学)=xue
Cantonese 學=hok
Korean 學=학=hak.
and so on.

I'm (part) Korean and i think it's essential to know the 한자 of the word as well as the 한글 as 한자 is very beautiful :)

can anyone else agree with this?

hmm... didn't japs derive the character from the original trad. character? why is it same with the simplified one? or did the simplifiers take the jap one which was already naturally "simplified"
