pronunciation of sage

Am i the one who pronounce "sage" as [seɪdʒ] even if they know it's a Japanese word and shall be [sage]? It's some kind of reflex, i can't do it another way.

i say sage as in the plant too because i'm not a fuckin' weeaboo.
