Haven't been able to find anything that tells me what exactly "Leibstandarte" translates to in English. Any German can answer me? Google trnslation does nothing for me.

Hmm, I ask because I had read an article on the 1st SS Division, the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler.
Doesn't really make sense if it's standard of living. By standard I take it they meant it as Hitler's flag unit or something? Not sure how body would fit in unless it somehow translates to the same "body" as in a group of people or corps.
