How hard is German?

Salutations.

How hard is it to learn German up to level A1 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_framework_for_languages#Levels)?
Bear in mind I have about seven months to do it, Uni course.

Did you honestly mean A1? Because you can easily reach the level in a month or two if you study diligently.

Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Shouldn't be too hard.
