JET Program

Just wondering if 4chan has anyone who was, is, or is hoping to join the JET Program.

Failing that, is anyone employed as a teacher of English as a secondary language? Are you in a predominantly English-speaking country, or not?

I want to know what experiences people have with teaching English as a secondary language. I want to know what are the hardest parts, the most rewarding parts, the surprising parts... What advice or cautionary tales people might have.

More than anything, though, I want to know if there are any other 4channers waiting to hear back on whether they have an interview with the JET Program.

tl;dr: is it can be seriose discussion tiem nao pls

Yeah, I hear that's a big reason why a lot of people join. Personally, I actually want to teach English as a career, so I'm far more in it for the experience than anything.

That said, I'm definitely looking forward to living in a culture that doesn't treat sex like it's something you should feel guilty about.
