Questions to people learning Japanese

1. Who are you? (Age, sex, location and everything else you are willing to tell us)
2. Why are you learning Japanese.

I'm asking this because I want to know if the people who are trying (notice the word 'trying') to learn Japanese are just a bunch of weeaboo faggots, or if they have a more sane reason to do so.

So how do I prevent myself from becoming an elitist jerk who sniggers when other people make mistakes using Japanese?

I've have seen people doing it and now it's happening to me. Not that I'm any good at Japanese, that's the worst part.
