Fuck Captchas

Is there any chance that captchas are going to be abolished anytime soon or at least in the distant future? Or just switching to easier patterns would be a good start already.
They are annoying as fuck. Besides, when they were introduced first I didn't really notice and automated spam problems in 4chan at that time, at least on the boards I used to browse.

Spam affects people in a minor way. Oh no, that one Suicide Girl. How tragic, I'd better scroll past that because the mods aren't deleting it. My life is ruined!

CAPTCHA affects everyone every single time they post.
