That's not LulzSec, or they went full retard. 4chan can be taken down by 5 kids with LOICs, no botnet needed. Hell, half the time 4chan takes itself out when too many people press F5.
They talk a shitload of crap. They should get Facebook or Amazon down, now THAT would be impressive. DDoSing 4chan is like beating a 3yo kid in the face, everybody can do that.
