I always thought the textboards held themselves to a higher standard than the imageboards - then I saw /img/

I'm glad I got here from /b/. that other half of 4chan went the way of lance armstrong's testicle. why are the textboards so hard to find, and what makes them so much less shitty than the boards.4chan.org part?
