Something needs to be done about /gif/

In my time browsing 4chan, I've found many great gifs from /gif/ boards.  While venturing in there is never safe, there's usually always a piece of gold in the pile of poo there.  (the star wars force shops make me lol)

But now, the stuff in there has reach a new level of f%#kin disgusting.  Close ups of gay sex with hairy balls, traps with old women, weird redneck guys with some sorta testicle enlargement devices?

Not to mention the recent flood of gay porn, while I'm fine with people being gay, I don't wanna see them stick it in eachothers poopers (or having sex with watermelons).

You can say "just don't click on the ones that you don't wanna see" but it's filled with so many damn traps that I'm not sure what it is I wanna see anymore.

There should be a place where people can post porn gifs, and another place for anime/funny/clean gifs, which would be moderated.

It looks to me like the same person posting over and over again here. I'll re-iterate what >>3 said, but a bit more politely.

The very nature of an anonymous posting board is that people can pretty much post whatever they want without fear of reprisal. Some of the things that people may post here might offend you. Some of them are posted simply BECAUSE it offends some people, some of it is posted because the person posting it genuinely believes that it is a funny image that other people should see and laugh at.

The bottom line is if you don't like it, go elsewhere. I personally like the relative anarchy that is 4chan. I even spend a fair amount of time on /b/ and enjoy that to a degree. Do I like everything that's posted? No. Am I offended by some of it? Yes, very much so. I find many of the posts there rascist to an intense degree, and also find the child porn that appears there on occasion to be disgusting.

Sure, I'd rather not see that crap. But at the same time, I KNOW WHAT I'M GETTING INTO WHEN I GO THERE. I know there's a good chance that I'm going to be offended by some of the stuff I see, and I personally support people's right to post whatever they want to on the 18+ boards. This includes /gif/ as well, where the only rule (aside from the site-wide rules) are that all images must be animated.

If you don't like it, then find another site to download your animated gifs from. Don't muddy up my 4chan with your unneccessary rules.
