Giving Wordpress 733t Imageboard skillz

For my personal imageboard, I'm currently working on changing over from Futaba to the Wordpress CMS-- primarily because I wanting catagorizing and search facilities.
The nasty hairy question is what WP plugins work best at doing things 'the simple one-step Futaba way' when uploading images...

WordPress is not the right choice for an imageboard. Allowing attaching images to comments might be feasible.

By the way, everyone posting in this thread is a faggot, me not included.
