what's the difference between 2ch & 2channel? Now to complicate my head further, what's the difference between 4chan & 4channel? I'm guessing 4channel is the work-safe boards of 4chan for donation TOS purposes. But since Yowcow/paypal are gone is there a point for that? Thanks

This is the 4chan message boards, only better, newer and improved. Not to mention probebly faster and a lot bigger. I like it.
Somewhat correct on the TOS thing. The reason it still exists that way is because of Google's ads.

With the addition of world4ch, 4chan (the collective site) is finally surpassing 2chan in my opinion. 4chan`s image boards have always been more interesting, especially now that they have decent mods. Now that world4ch is open, and looks especially promising, 2chan should be pretty much left in the dust.
I mean, I have no reason to go there anymore now. (True, I couldn`t post, but the comments and stuff on 2ch were entertaining enough to go and read.)

4chan tries to be an english 2chan because we like the ideas behind it. Not because we can do it better but because english is a lot easyer for most people.
