How can someone play video games all day, everyday?
There is nothing wrong with playing a game for fun once in a while, but how can people be so serious about them and dedicate their entire life to vidya?
I used to like video games as a kid, but by the time I was 12 I realized that they're just shitty obstacle courses that cause a bit of dopamine to be realized in your head, tricking you into thinking that you've experienced and achieved something. This can get addictive for some, especially those who have never actually lived their lives.
Seriously:
>There are no video games with high level narrative, just boring, cliche copy paste plots with fake sentiment. Don't scream muh heavy rain or muh Planescape. Heavy Rain is a really basic clich[non-ASCII] thriller and Planescape, although infinitely better than other games, is nowhere as deep and complex as your average novel.
>Vidya takes much less skill than any creative hobbies or sports, still gamers are constantly belittle others for 'sucking'
>No video game has ever reached true open endedness and control for the player
The only argument in the favor of vidya is that it's fun. Sure it can be, but dedicating your life to the lowest and least productive form of fun is just sad.
That's also why a lot of girls who didn't get used to that dopamine rush because they weren't supposed to play video games as a kid, due to gender stereotypes, hate guys who play a lot of vidya.
Seriously, how is being serious about games and playing a lot of vidya not for faggots/losers?
