I agree wholeheartedly with the fact that games focus way too much on combat and much less on environmental interaction. I think Bioshock Infinite was definitely dragged down by it's combat and honestly after a while it felt like a chore to shoot people with whatever weapon that was laying around from whatever baddie I just killed. As the game progressed the game focused a lot more on the combat and some of the story rather than the story and the world with combat to help further goals. A lot of these story based games make the damn things feel more like a chore than fun.

One of the games I really enjoy is 3d platformers due to their nature of being less pew pew and more adventure. One recent one that I enjoyed much more than I thought I would be Tiny and Big: Grandpa's leftovers. The game was fun to navigate the world, mess with the blocks and find my way through. The game was rather linear and not a whole lot of exploration, but it did also feature some sandboxie parts where I could just dick around cutting blocks in all sorts of ways and moving them around.
