Well now you know, and knowing is half the battle. Sorry if that upsets you for some reason.
Playstation 1 deserves to be there. It was one of the most significant consoles ever released and marks the start of a massive shift in the video game industry. At the start of the 32 bit era there were a number of companies trying to get a piece of what was now an extremely quickly growing market. Fujitsu, Panasonic, Commodore and Atari all tried to bring out new consoles, none of which were successful.
Sony somehow succeeded and fantastically so, blowing both Sega and Nintendo out of the water that generation. The PS1 sold almost three times more than the N64 and more than ten times as much as the Saturn. On top of that it has a massive library of games which are still considered classics. So yeah, I think PS1 has earned it's place on that list. Personally I liked the Saturn better, but that's beside the point.
As for the GBA however, even though I think it was a pretty great system I am open to suggestions of what should get it's spot on the list, and why. So if you have one, go for it.
