Have you played Wargame: European Escalation? It is a semi-realistic strategy game similar to ruse with very very large maps. You should check it out and watch some videos of it on youtube. Although it may look slow when you are watching someone else play trust me that the game doesn't feel very slow because you are going through all the tactical options in your mind. My verdict on the game is it is extremely fun, although some accuracy, damage, and health statistics need to be modified for some of the units.
I agree with you regarding /v/. I think another big problem is the speed of the board. Why would you spend five minutes typing up a well thought out response when your post will be washed away and possibly not even seen? 7chan is nice in this regard, their videogames board /vg/ only gets a couple posts a day, but you can be sure they are of nice quality.

Can't be worse than before at least. You can't disagree on that. Having the generals at least offers up some space, and helps people find their appropriate thread when over there if they are too retarded to use the catalogue.
I'm also pretty sure that people have not been reporting things in /v/ either. Mods can't be on 24/7 in what is essentially /b/2.0, not giving the lazy asses excuses but the report function does have a use. Complain only when you actually have been reporting threads, like I have.
personally i wanted to talk about the PS vita,and if i should really get it?
i already own a 3DS and love it, but as it is barely play it, yet that said i want a vita solely for the play station exclusives.
