Its supposed to be /vg/, sure.
But people are going to always take the path of least resistance. At least this way we have actual videogame discussion on /v/. As somebody who doesn't use the catalogue because I don't like looking for specific things to talk about and want discussion thrust upon me, I have noticed the change quite a lot.

This is a good thing, and keeps things in check. We could use some more elitism back in this place, remember you can always ignore it if it is specifically directed at you. Lets hope it lasts.
