Newbie question: PS3 or Xbox 360?

Budget not an option. As a guide, my favourite games include GTA: San Andreas, Morrowind, Star Wars: Kotor, Zeus, the Call Of Duty series, Battlefield 2, FF7, Tekken, the Mechwarrior games, and probably more.

I already have a Wii and want a serious gaming console. I am already leaning towards the PS3 because of it's "future-proof" nature, and I don't already have a Blueray player.

Thoughts? Advice? Which console has better games?

If budget isn't an issue, get both.

Get a PS3! It's pretty cheap now and has a really good library of games.

I agree with anon3. However, most people like the 360's online better than the ps3's. Personally, I think the ps3's online is fine, and it sounds like you'll like some of the game on the ps3 more.
