Preface.
If this project gets off the ground it will be a collaborative effort of chan boards and the users therein.

Objective.
The objective will be to mod World of Warcraft with a major graphical overhaul, violating the EULA, and making this game win. If the project gets enough backing, there may possibly be money involved for the people who worked on the project, and the project be used in an official Blizzard patch.

Strategy.
/p/ will be providing the photos we need for the textures.  /b/f/v/ will be involved with providing the manpower to use photoshop to convert the photos from /b/ to usable textures that can be swapped for the outdated game textures.
People interested in helping will report to IRC irc.gamesurge.net #wowmod  where we will stage our plan of attack.

Fail.
idiots who say this is stupid. People who say this will never work. Retards.

Win.
People who grasp the bigger picture and see the master plan, an amazing looking wowcraft. This is not as huge of an undertaking as some people will say, it is simply a matter or taking the pictures of things like paths, grass, bricks, and trees, from the game and replacing them with larger pictures of the same thing, only much more detailed.

?????

Profit.
if this mod shows promise, there is a great possibility that Blizzard will buy our work from us and use it as official content.

/b/f/v/ will be involved

I laughed heartily! Do you honestly believe the things you wrote? A lot of the textures aren't even that bad, it's the way they were used, combined with the general environments and old looking models. It's a stylised game and trying to make it look photo-realistic - especially with actual photos - would have a horrible result. Besides, Blizzard has mentioned considering a graphical update (if the game stays popular enough obviously, which seems likely).

Ha! as it was stated on /b/ last night, you're a retard.

You also have no idea how much of a massive undertaking replacing every texture would be.
