I remembered this deasese on Wikipedia where you would shy away from people and even take on fantasies as a mean to escape reality. Anyone know what it was called again?

Sounds like Korsakov's syndrome perhaps... Maybe just a friendly variation on paranoid schitzophrenia with a bit of confabulation in there aswell.
