There is nothing in the entire world that makes me feel the way Metal Gear Solid (PSX) does.

It is truly epic in every way.

I agree OP. I couldn't get into MGS when it was new and relevant, but I tried it again last year and the atmosphere and tension towards the end, when shit starts to hit the fan, is fucking chilling. Beat the whole game in a day and I couldn't believe that I'd ignored it for all those years. If you can get over the fact that Liquid (and presumably Kojima) doesn't know what "recessive" means, the confrontation between Snake and Liquid in the Rex hangar is amazing.

MGS2 was even better. MGS3 was... alright I guess. Disappointing compared to Sons of Liberty. MGS4 was a trainwreck and I wish I had never played it. Portable Ops is also terrible. Haven't played Peace Walker. MG1 and 2 (played the PS2 ports on the special edition of 3) are awesome for their age. Ghost Babel on GBC is great. Ac!d is decent too, haven't played Ac!d 2 though.
