Lineage 2 is awesome

Lineage 2 isn't fun. It's overly simplistic grinding and nothing but. There is next to no skill involved with leveling up, unless you count bearing soul crushing tedium as a skill.
Not that WoW is any better it just takes billions of times less time invested.

I will say this. I played Lineage 2 on a private server and had a lot of fun FOR A TIME! I hit the level cap in about 3 days and after that I just went and killed raid bosses but after that it got boring.
