Halo 3-60 Vs picking up a cheap PS3 Bundle.

Even though I know the game will be crammed full of trash talking 12 year olds whining about how they didn't get the Sniper Rifle, I'm actually finding myself excited for Halo 3.  I don't even have a 360, and I'm actually looking foreword to Halo 3.  So far I've just been gambling on picking up a ultra cheap 360 or PS3 Bundle this fall like I saw last year for Gears.  But I think I'm getting sucked into the MS Hype Machine

I mean, I know that there are alot of things that could go wrong.  Poor A.I. (unlikely), bad level design (probable), multiplayer bugs or flaws (potential), every 12 year old and madden playing Frat boy in the country (Definite).

But I can't help but think about 4-Player Co-Op, The Psuedo play while you work Multiplayer Editor Forger, the (hopefully) fixed gameplay, and of course Bungie actually finishing the story/game this time around.

Bungie seems genuinely excited about their game, like a proud parent, without the arrogance found in some other companies I'm not going to name.  With the way the graphics have steadily been improving, it looks like it will actually be AAA game, instead of an over-rated, definitely over-hyped game like Halo 2.  Combine this with Mass Effect, Bioshock, and a few other titles, and I might pick up a 360 instead of mooching off my friends.

Of course this all hinges on whether any of Sony's Exclusives this winter are any good.  Lair was looking very good (We'll see if it actually plays well), and I'm really looking foreward to some of the games on the PS3, (Little Big Planet really has my eye for some reason, among others), and I could really go for the expanded functionality.

Considering I don't have much of a AV set up (Planning on changing that when I finally have enough), do you think that the PS3 has a strong enough line-up this fall to warrant trying to ignore the 360 Hype train?
