PS2 RPGs

FFX and FFXII were big disappointments for me.

So I'm looking for some other rpg to uselessly spend 60+ hours of my life on.

I've decided to look into these;
Disgaea
Xenosaga
Shadowhearts
Digital Devil Saga

Can someone give me the pros and cons of these games, some insight into their battle systems, and any particular quirk of the game you like or don't like?

And perhaps you might also suggest another rpg I may have overlooked or missed. But keep in mind one thing, I don't like real time combat systems, I like to plan out my moves and thats kind of hard to do when a goblin is repeatedly assraping you with a knife or something.

Star Ocean: Till the end of time.

In three days, I spent over 40 hours playing when I first got it.

Best fucking RPG ever.

Makai Kingdom is pretty fun too.
Also, if your looking for something different, try Breath Of Fire: Dragon Quarter, takes about 10 hours to finish the main story, but, you can restart with all your stats and stuff, and, unlock new stuff each play through, I've played through it many times.

Shadow Hearts is the best by far. It's got a cool battle system which makes the games more skill based then the boring menu only systems of FF and such. It's also pretty dark.

Star Ocean bored the fuck out of me.
