I have a lv 50 or so raticate, and I could catch you a fearow, or whatever else appears commonly in the north-eastern island. You don't need the national dex to receive them, but you do if you want them to count towards your pokedex completion number.

Pokeradar. Makes it easy for you to get strings of the same pokemon. Within twenty or so, you usually get a shiny.

Or so I hear, I haven't actually gotten it myself yet.

I have pokeradar, and it doesn't make shinies appear. I see heaps of 10+ strings of pokemon, but none have been shiny. Ever. I'v only seen shinies over GTS, and then only two of them - a pink palkia and a gold steelix.

No, you have to get like a string of 20+, and then look for a shaking patch of grass that sparkles. If it sparkles, it's a shiny.

Hay guise. I'm really interested in having some decent teams ready for when Battle Revolution comes out. If I hatch and/or trade legit pokemon, then use an Action Replay or something to level them up, will either game detect it and not let me use them for online battling? I think the first Stadium wouldn't let you use hacked pokemon in it, but that was back in the R/B/Y days.
