Well, if you took a moment to realise 90% of the games you will ever play originated from Japan but have been minipulated to suit the western civilization.
Japan has made some very decent Games
Zelda, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid..
The only GOOD games I can think of by American release would be.
Grand Theft Auto Serie and Need for Speed Series.
