I have played EVERY single popular MMO known to man (both free and pay-to-play) and not one of them had a decent community. I remember playing this one small MMO which had only had a few hundred players and it was alright for a while, but once the game was advertised more, then a lot of shitty people came and ruined it. Why?
Yes, I know, you're right. I used to play Neocron 2.0 back in the day, and FFXI before that, and I actually really enjoyed the communities. In the newer games though, without fail I've quit because 49.5% of the community is grinding constantly and won't stop to talk, and the other 49.5% is made up of total dipshits that just spam the chat-channels.

rappelz has a decent community. only encountered like 2-3 clowns while playing. though its a grindfest but if you like grinding its a good game. its free but at around lvl 50+ the leveling gets really slow and you might want to buy cash shop items.

I played a private server on ragnarok, and it had a very nice community. you could actually go into a dungeon and ask someone to party and they;d say yes. Come to think of it, ragnarok is the only game ive spent 5 years playing(on and off of course). But after awhile it changed into where everyone was all about leveling, and nobody partied anymore.

I loveddd the community and economy of FFXI but the rest of the game was crap, and shadowbane was fucking AMAZING all around but the servers crashed like every ten minutes.
I played a bit of Ultima online back in the day. People sucked on there. Moved to Dark Age of Camelot, which was massive win until WoW came out and everyone started playing that. Communuty dropped from thousands to just hundreds so that turned to shit. Decided to give WoW a shot and played two charecters up to the 40's, until the boring leveling and instance running and the incredibly large amount of legally retarded people made me quit. Haven't touched an MMO since. Hoping Warhammer online will be good.

the game "runescape" has an excellent community. most players are really helpfull, especially on the p2p servers.
I dont belive every MMO communitie suck, I think you have somekind of person problem. I've played MMO's for over eight years and had a few of the most amezing communitie's.
One of my private RO servers died and four years later we still have a forum up where we time-by-time post/lurk.
