Disassembling a V12 slimPS2.

I'm trying to install a DMS4 EZI mod chip.

I've got the case open and unscrewed the screw at the memorycard/controller ports and the screw under the laser/drive. I've unplugged the power switch from the board and unplugged the fan and battery and the ribbons from the laser/drive assembly.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to remove the board from the bottom half of the case.

I've looked around and found these sites
http://www.modchip.ca/install/ps2/general/apartv1011.php
http://www.teammodders.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2903
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2940ENBmgxg

But they seem kinda shady. The two guides skip over how to separate the board from the rest of the case. And the youtube video, the guy just kinda does it.

The right side of the board, with the disc laser, seems willing enough. But the left side with the controller ports and the AC and A/V ports don't seem to want to give.

I've edged out the AC and A/V ports a little. But the controller ports, I have no idea how to squeeze them out from around the casing. I've tried to pop the top half out, like in the youtube vid, but it doesn't seem to be that easy.

Anyone who has done this before want to help me out?
