You're a catass
The majority of people who play (insert popular mmo) are playing it because they want something which simulates real life work but they're guaranteed to be promoted. Even if they're unaware of wanting that. It's what makes them addicted, because real life is unpredictable. But when they have a game that guarantees them advancement for working, they will stay addicted until they've wasted so much time they either freak out and give up or acknowledge just how much time they've wasted and feel they shouldn't give up.
This is fine for people who enjoy this shit. But the problem with the majority of MMO players seems to be. They want this in EVERY mmo. So when someone tries something new or different, it doesn't do so great. Or most mmos tend to be very alike if they want to succeed, hence stagnation. I wish people would stop making mmorpgs for the type of people who make up the majority of MMO players. And instead make offline games or small scale non-MMO games.
MMOs ARE NOT A RESULT OF PIRACY because...
MMORPGs are just a way to sell games which wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of selling if they were not Online or Multiplayer. And if they did not contain some company name, franchise name or popular theme backing it.
It's like if someone made a Sonic the Hedgehog MMO which sucked balls. It would still sell and be profitable (for a little while at least) because it would fool people into thinking "massive" "multiplayer" means something new.
Why pay monthy for something you could do in offline games made over 10 years ago? Too bad you're stuck killing monsters most of the time. But wait, you claim you get spend time with others who share similar interests to socialize? I thought that's what a forum was for...
