so..i get this email today from my ISP saying that some company has gotten my IP and has basically caught me for piracy. In the email my ISP states that they will not give them personal info unless asked to do so by a court order. Now, im asken for any help whatsoever as to what i can do now. I have already reformatted. Is there any more i can do? halp!

formatting your computer DOES NOT get rid of the data. It only removes references to that data. You must get rid of the hard drive to get rid of the data.

I was told by one of my programmer friends that most computers save tiny bits of data saying what you've done for the past 3-5 years. I'd look into that.

i suggest that toy crack teh drive open, BURN the figerglass panels with all the chips and crap on it. then buy a $20 blowtorch and fuse the entire data spindel together into a blob. (cut drive open, the spindle is the thing that holds all the CD-looking disks together.
