I play WoW a lot. The things that have come to my attention is:

reporting bot farmers does nothing
gold selling messages appear in zones they should not
this sucks

So my conclusion; Blizzard are the gold sellers.

Thoughts?

Blizzard bans more accounts than the total subscribers of other mmos.

Just recently they banned over 100k players for gold selling related incidents.

This just means they'll likely sell another 100k boxes because the price of WoW gold keeps rising and the banned will want to return.
